The Ancestry DNA kit makes for a surprising gift.

Ancestry is a brand that most people have heard of. “They do genealogy and DNA stuff, right?” Yes! That’s pretty much right. Basically, you get this box, spit into a tube, and Ancestry comes back with a snapshot of your geographical lineage. I partnered with Derek Brown, a former college roommate and close friend, to write and produce 30-second advertisements to show how the DNA kit could make a great holiday gift. The series resulted in a 500% increase in search lift, and the videos received up to +400,000 views in their first week on YouTube.
